- Your tabs stay on your device. They are never sent to RadTab.
- RadTab uses no cookies and has no accounts, advertising or tracking across other websites.
- We collect anonymous usage statistics (which pages are visited and which features are used) to improve RadTab. These never include what you write.
Your tabs
Everything you write in RadTab is saved in your web browser's own storage on your device. It is not sent to RadTab or to anyone else. Files you save with Save file go wherever you choose on your device, and Copy text puts a copy on your clipboard. Clearing your browser's data for radtab.app deletes your tabs, so keep a saved file of anything you want to keep.
What we collect
RadTab uses two analytics services. Neither uses cookies, and neither is given the contents of your tabs.
- Cloudflare Web Analytics counts visits: the pages visited, the website that referred you, your browser and device type, and the country you visited from. Cloudflare says Web Analytics "does not collect or use your visitors' personal data".
- Umami (Umami Cloud) records how RadTab is used: for example, that a note was typed, that a tab was printed, that the fret pad or a menu was used, which tuning preset was chosen, and short error messages when something goes wrong. It also records the page visited, the referring website, your browser, operating system, device type, screen size, language and country. Umami says it uses "an anonymous session identifier and no cookies" and "does not collect any personally identifiable information". If your browser's Do Not Track setting is on, Umami records nothing.
We use this information only to understand how RadTab is used and to fix and improve it. We don't sell it or use it for advertising.
Hosting
RadTab is hosted by Cloudflare. Like any web host, Cloudflare processes technical information such as your IP address in order to deliver the website and protect it from attacks. See Cloudflare's privacy policy.
Where information is kept, and for how long
Cloudflare and Umami may store and process information outside New Zealand. Umami keeps usage statistics for up to six months. Your tabs are kept on your device until you delete them or clear your browser's data.
Your rights
Under the New Zealand Privacy Act 2020 you can ask to see, or ask us to correct, personal information we hold about you. Because RadTab doesn't collect information that identifies you, we usually won't hold anything we can link to you, but we're happy to answer any question. Contact us at capo@radtab.app. If you're not satisfied with our response, you can contact the Office of the Privacy Commissioner.
Changes
If this changes, for example if RadTab adds accounts or advertising, we'll update this page and the date at the top before the change takes effect.
